What separates firms like Design Shed from low priced design agencies?
The answer to this question is a lengthy one. For new clients, we have written a separate article that summarises the importance of prioritising quality over cost when it comes to choosing a design team.
In our article, we answer the two most frequently asked questions regarding pricing:
- Why should you budget for an experienced brand and logo development firm?
- Why should you budget for qualified site development?
Does my business need to consult with a design agency?
In a word, yes. Put yourself in the shoes of your clients and customers. Would you rather deal with a business that has a cheap "custom" logo, plain stationery or a substandard website? Or would you prefer to deal with the business that has a professional appeal, elegant brand identity and consistent attractive branding across their stationery?
What kind of graphic design services can benefit my business?
We can help you with developing a suitable brand that connects with your target audience and professional vendors. This strategy can then be applied to your stationery, advertising material and your website. For a more detailed list of our services, please view our Services page.
What do you charge for your graphic design services?
Pricing for services depends predominantly on the task required and the number of hours needed. For a list of common pricing, as well as to obtain a quote for your project, please contact us.
What types of payment do you accept?
For your convenience, we accept:
- All major credit cards
- Direct Debit
- Paypal
- Bank Transfer
- Cheque
More information regarding payment can be found on our Payment page.
For print work, do I need to find a separate printing firm?
We can take care of the printing for you. In fact, we encourage it. The Design Shed benefits from exclusive deals with printers due to our high volume of prints, and we are happy to pass these savings directly onto our clients.
How can I be involved in the design process?
Simple. By contacting us, we can talk with you to determine the goals of your design project. All design work begins with a completed design brief, to ensure that all deliverables are consistent with your expectations.
Large projects will be divided into milestones, so that you can approve the work that is already completed before progressing to new tasks.
How can I check the progress of my design job?
We use an online collaboration tool called "BaseCamp" which will allow you to monitor the design process and provide feedback. You can view your design task from infancy to completion. Depending on your comfort level, you can be involved in the step-by-step design process, or sit back and watch the professionals roll out an amazing product.
How will I receive my design project once it is finished?
We can supply your design project electronically via CD, DVD, or e-mail. For print media, we can arrange for your design work to be delivered to you already printed. A backup of your design project will also be available on our premises for easy updates and additions you may want at a later time.
Will I own the copyright for images and content designed by the Design Shed?
In most cases, yes. Please be sure to tell us during the project brief, so that we can prepare the necessary paperwork to transfer rights. Typically, the Design Shed does reserve the right to use the design work for promotional purposes unless indicated otherwise by our clients or advertising agencies.
